I hate the AMT because of it's complexity. I'll never understand
why it can't be as simple as 10% of AGI for those making over
100,000 single and 200,000 joint (adjusted for inflation). That
way, those with a lot of deductions for mortgage or real estate
taxes can't wipe out their income tax and most Americans will never
have to worry about AMT.
Mississippi attorney Dickie Scruggs had planned to host a
fundraiser for Hillary Clinton on December 15. Bill Clinton was
supposed to be there. Unfortunately, Dickie just got indicted for
bribery and conspiracy. (Just for the record, although Dickie is a
liberal Democrat, he is also Trent Lott's brother-in-law.)
